Prof Ruben J. Cauchi, MSc(Lond), DPhil(Oxon), FRSB, FRCPath
Short bio – Prof. Cauchi is an Associate Professor of Neurogenetics within the Dept. of Physiology & Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery and a Principal Investigator (P.I.) at the Centre for Molecular Medicine & Biobanking of the University of Malta. Before becoming a faculty member, Prof. Cauchi was a postdoctoral fellow at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the University of Cambridge. He did his doctoral research at the Dept. of Physiology, Anatomy & Genetics at the University of Oxford, and his masters at Imperial College London. Prof. Cauchi's all-time science heroes are Santiago Ramón y Cajal (Nobel laureate 1906) and Ed Lewis (Nobel laureate 1995), whose life & work are a constant inspiration. |
